R&D RAN: research lead
current project

Ericsson 5G (NSA & SA)

5G is the key to empowering new services and use cases for people, businesses, and society at large. With unprecedented speed and flexibility, /// 5G carries more data with greater responsiveness and reliability than ever before. So no matter what you’ve set your sights on, Ericsson 5G is made for innovation.

Focusing on RAN and particularly base band (BB) which is heart of 5G both non standalone (NSA) 5G and standalone (SA) 5G,

it is a great journey of innovation, being part of technical leadership. My BB R&D team  involved in 5G BB, covering  lowband, midband and highband. We are exploring new things on daily basis,  new challenges and innovations  during our 5G journey.

I m proud to be part of a team which enable the state of the art research outcome: Ericsson Spectrum Sharing (ESS). ESS introduces a new way of rolling out 5G that re-uses hardware/spectrum/sites, increases coverage of mid/high band, and offer a clear path to 5G stand alone

Internet of Things (IoT)

Imagine a society where we will have more connected devices than people living on the planet. In the immediate future year 2025, more than 24.9 billion Internet of Things (IoT) connections  are forecasted compared to the estimated human population of 8.1 billion people. There are two main technologies involved in machine to machine (M2M) Communication: Category M-1 Devices (Cat-M) and Narroband IoT (NB-IoT) both technologies cover different markets and different business values yet considered core for M2M IoT.

I was product guardian of User Plane control and work closely on the architecture of both NB IoT an CAt-M IoT R&D. It was challenge for us to support thousands of IoT connection on the existing LTE Network.

We had to redefine the architect of LTE to co-exist with IoT. I was one of the main architect in user plane control (L1 & L2) for CAT-M RAN BB.  We had several teams involved in different continents to work round the clock to enable IoT in our product.

Leading such teams from technical and architecture lead was a challenge but we have made it before the expected time. The launch of CAT-M in North America & Europe and NB IoT in Asia enables Ericsson and its customers for new business opportunities.I am main design for NB-IoT architect as well.   Part of leading team of architect for Standalone Nb-IoT, Guardband NB-IoT and in-band NB-IoT. After the mian delivery, we had enhanced the coverage (CE) of network for these ioT devices in later reassesses.

Long-Term Evolution (LTE)

LTE RAN brings you software for Gigabit speeds, using FDD and TDD, housed flexibly on one board. Ericsson LTE RAN continues to bring a great experience for mobile broadband. The evolution of LTE is still relentless. Several milestones now increase capacity and speed by ten times since the start of LTE. To enable an efficient means for operators to migrate their legacy RAN to LTE, Ericsson offers advanced mixed-mode (2G/3G/LTE/IoT) solutions which run simultaneously on one Baseband board. LTE is now spelled Gigabit LTE:

When I joined Ericsson first time in 2007. I was part of 25 members BB team who are gathered to start their research on new innovation and YES that's LTE. I am thankful to Ericsson for an opportunity to be part of team which is known as pioneer of  LTE. Later our efforts recognized whe nTelia announces first LTE network and call n the work in Stockholm. I still remember that I was part of R&D Team supporting Telia to enable this historical moment at the silicon valley of Sweden, heart of innovation and birthplace of new technologies: Kista, Stockholm.

Quality Assurance (QA)
previous project

JRockit.

JRockit, was a proprietary Java virtual machine (JVM) originally developed by Appeal Virtual Machines and acquired by BEA Systems in 2002,became part of Oracle Fusion Middleware as part of acquisition of BEA Systems in 2008.

The distict feature of JRockit being integrated by Oracle into the HotSpot virtual machine as part of the mainline development of the Java platform.

My main task was related to systematization, product development, QA and release of the product JVM together with its internal architecture and cross platform support.

I have been involved in developing and leading L2 teams for testing, test development, test management, test driven development, release management and analysis of product to ensure the benchmark for the performance critical and related tasks.
